Changes in IQNet Secretariat

New Secretary General
Armin Girschweiler, the founder of IQNet, retired by the end of 2000. We thank Mr Girschweiler for his contribution to the world-wide quality and certification community and wish him a prosperous future.

Hans Buser is the new Secretary General and Treasurer of IQNet as of 1 January 2001. He is 49 years old, Swiss, born Canadian and is a food specialist. He speaks English, French and German, has been working in the quality business for more than 20 years, was an auditor for ISO 9000 and ISO 14001 management systems and had engagements as a lecturer for quality management.

He is representing IQNet in IAF, ISO TC 176, ISO TC 207 and EA-C5-WG3. In addition he is responsible for the new service "Global Account Management".

New Secretariat
IQNet Secretariat moved its office to new premises on 22 January 2001, which are situated only 6 km away from Bern main station and can easily be reached by car as well as by public transportation.

New Service "Global Account Management"

The centralised IQNet Global Account Management is a new service. The IQNet Network with 28 local certification partners and numerous subsidiaries can now better satisfy the certification needs of international customers by global contracting. The international IQNet services are described in the brochure "International Certification Services". It is available on the web site www.iqnet-certification.com.
