International Environmental Children's Drawing Contest
The reception was a great success. Herb Frank, UNICEF, thanked IQNet (International Certification Network) and JQA (Japan Quality Assurance Organisation) for their sponsoring. Dr. Fabio Roversi, President of IQNet, underlined the strong commitment of all IQNet certification bodies towards the environment, which is a major topic for the future of the global society. Mr Masabumi Ono, Chairman of JQA, thanked UNICEF for their work all over the world and made a donation to this organisation of 20,000 US$. The contest was established by IQNet and JQA to encourage the world's children to think about the environment which surrounds their everyday life, and how to protect it. The Exhibition was organised by the New York Metropolitan Chapter of the United States Fund of UNICEF. The 2nd International Environmental Children's Drawing Contest was launched under the same patronage as the first one. Registration deadline is 31 May 2001. IQNet, JQA and UNICEF hope for another good participation. |
