Swiss Label “SSW” for Corporate Social Responsibility for the World Economic Forum

On July 5th the headquarters of the World Economic Forum, WEF, in Geneva, Switzerland, received the new Swiss Label for Corporate Social Responsibility issued by the Swiss foundation for a Social Responsible Economy, SSW. The Swiss Association for Quality and Management Systems, SQS, acts as a partner of SSW and conducted the successful assessment.

With this new label those companies and organisations are honoured that achieve a certain level of social responsibility assessed by external auditors. The label’s requirements to meet include the organisation’s relationship with the employees, customers, suppliers, as well as the community in general. The assessment criteria also cover areas such as equal opportunity and family-friendly policies, motivation and participation of employees, health protection and accident prevention, as well as a continuous training and further education. – Finally, this label honours the serious endeavours of organisations at reaching for sustainable development.

SQS was pleased to hand over - in the presence of the president of the SSW board and one of the renowned experts of the independent jury that finally awards the candidate for the label – the certificate to the founder and president of the World Economic Forum, professor Klaus Schwab. Indeed, it was perfectly convenient to issue the new label for Corporate Social Responsibility to one of the very first promoters of the stakeholders’ concept.

SQS’s CEO, Theo Zahner, did not miss the opportunity to point out the adaptation of Einstein’s revolutionary formula, E = m * c², for the benefit of an organisation’s sustainable success, i.e. S = i * l²; with S = success, i = innovation and l² = loyalty of both the employees and the customers:

The offer of the new Swiss Label for Corporate Social Responsibility completes SQS’ service portfolio within the range of products that support any organisations’ efforts for their sustainable development.

Please do not hesitate to contact Silvio Leonardi at SQS for any further information about this service: SQS will be happy and proud to promote the challenging assessment worldwide – for the benefit of our common future.
