SRAC celebrated its 10th Anniversary
At the beginning of this summer, the Romanian Society for Quality Assurance – SRAC, celebrated an important event - its 10th Anniversary. It was marked by a series of special moments, which started on 27 June with a ceremony followed by a cocktail in which a large number of guests participated: officials, public personalities, well-known specialists and experts, successful SRAC customers, close collaborators, media.
In the next days, SRAC continued to celebrate its 10th Anniversary by proving its total and continuous commitment to the promotion of the conformity assessment activities and the quality culture in Romania by the means of a press conference and a seminary on the PECA – Protocol to the Europe Agreement on Conformity Assessment. The event took place on 2 July, in the elegant conference halls of the Athenee Palace Hilton Hotel. The event gathered a large spectrum of guests: presidential advisors, senior officials from the Ministry of Economy and Trade (the coordinator of the quality infrastructure in Romania), the Vice-president of the Romanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the President of the national accreditation body, the General Manager of the standardization body, public personalities, university staff, reputed specialists, the top management of the most important companies in the country – most of them SRAC clients, media.
The host of the event, SRAC President PhD eng. Dan Stoichitoiu opened the dialogue with a very systematic briefing of the problems related to globalization, trade, development and competitiveness, free movement of goods and removal of the technical barriers to trade, conformity assessment, European legislative and institutional frame work and quality infrastructure in Romania. The papers presented by the other speakers have completed and broadened this briefing. At the same time, Mr. Stoichitoiu introduced SRAC, the leader on the Romanian certification market and promoter of the quality culture nationwide, by highlighting its achievements during the last 10 years of continuous development on the path towards excellence, a reliable partner for any successful organization.
In the end, the SRAC President had the pleasure to award a series of Diplomas of Honour and Merit to those who have contributed during time to the development of the quality culture in Romania.
In this special setting, SRAC had also the pleasure to grant the ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certificates, together with IQNet certificates, to the General Manager of the International Airport Bucharest Otopeni, the most important airport of Romania.
